Everest 2021 Update – Alpine Ascents – 1st May

An update from Ben Jones, expedition leader at Alpine Ascents on May 1st.

“Today we had a nice acclimatization hike towards the base of the Lhotse face from Camp 2.

“We gained a few hundred feet in elevation and got some good views of the Lhotse face and of Camp 2 below. We are doing great and ready to head back down to Basecamp for the some rest after completing our first rotation on the mountain.

“I’ll update again tomorrow once we are back in the comforts of Basecamp.”
