An Everest update from Kilian Jornet and David Goettler from 11th May.
First up it’s Kilian;
“Acclimatization done!
“David Goettler and I went for a last acclimatization trip just below 8000m in the Lhotse face from camp 2 and down to basecamp following the normal route.
“Now some time to rest and wait.”
David Goettler gave us these words;
“Yesterday was a good day that made for a good night’s sleep!
“For our final acclimatisation round we left from C2, climbed up towards Lhotse stopping at 7920m to turn around and make it back to base camp for dinner!”
