An update from ‘Mountain Professionals’ on 26th April.
“Preparation is the key to staying safe on any mountain expedition, and our team has been hard at work brushing up on their skills near Base Camp.
“Summiting Everest is no walk in the park — climbers are required to possess solid crampon skills (both on and off rock), strong comfort with ascender and jumar use on a fixed line, and the ability to rappel safely with a pack on.
“In advance of their first rotation to Camp 1, the Mountain Professionals team dialed in their travel systems on the Khumbu Glacier’s ice pinnacles, a perfect training ground for what lies ahead. In this video, Ryan gives each team member hands-on training to ensure that the group is set up for success.
“The team is currently at Camp 1 and will be heading back to EBC soon. We’ll be sure to share more photos and videos upon their safe return!”
