Everest 2025 Daily Updates – 19th April
Daily updates from those climbing high on Everest for the 2025 Season.
SummitClimb Team
“We’ve officially arrived at Everest Basecamp — 5,340m (17,400 ft) above sea level — after the trek from Gorak Shep. Everyone’s feeling strong, spirits are high, and the views? Absolutely unreal. Let the adventure begin!”
7 Summits Club
“Hello from the team of Everest trekkers and climbers! Yesterday we made the trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar, a small village at an altitude of 3400. We slowly gained 700 meters in altitude. This part of the route to the Everest base camp is one of the most beautiful. Mountain rivers, air filled with the scent of pine trees, blooming rhododendrons, suspension bridges – incredible beauty!
In the evening, we checked into our cozy lodge. After dinner, the doctor checked the saturation of all participants. And in the evening, as is tradition, we captured a rock bar, played billiards, danced, sang songs with a guitar, listened to Russian music and watched films from our film studio.
Alex Abramov, Viktor Volodin and Sveta Kotlyar.”
Kaitu Expedition
“The Kaitu Everest 2025 team are heading to Base Camp with High Spirt and Good Mood.”
Alpine Ascents
“The 2025 Alpine Ascents Everest team has officially moved in to their new high altitude home!
After 10 days on the trail, the team arrived at Basecamp and have settled into expedition life — complete with breathtaking views, surprisingly good coffee, and the occasional yak traffic jam.
Led once again by the legendary Ben Jones, the team is healthy, happy, and already mastering the art of tent organization.
More updates coming as we start the long, slow dance with altitude!”
Tendi Sherpa
“We held a beautiful Puja ceremony at Everest Base Camp, seeking the blessings and permission of the Mother Goddess (Mount Everest) for a safe and successful journey on the mountain.
This season, I have the privilege of guiding young Emma alongside her father, Sam, with the support of my colleague, Fred!
Over the coming days, our focus will be on training on ladder crossings, fixed line techniques, and preparing for our first rotation to the higher camps.
Grateful for this opportunity and looking forward to the challenges ahead.”
Ben Wright
“Today we did an acclimatisation hike upto Everest view hotel (3,880m) as always I shed a tear the second I seen Everest and ama dablam again, happens everytime!
We then visited the sonam museum which is always cool to see and then I bought an ama dablam print to match my lobuche one in my climbing room!
Tomorrow we head out on a 6 hour hike to pangboche so will be a long day and won’t get much WiFi so il be behind with my posts!”
Kevin Sanchez
“Baaaaaaaaaase Cammmmmmmmp!!!
We are finally here – at the Everest Base Camp (EBC)!
This place is a fantasyland of jaw-dropping views, a beehive of activity (a mile long and about 1,000 residents through the season), and it smells way too much of yak…
But it’s been my dream for the past twenty years to be here, and I hope the blessed Chomolungma allows me safe passage to her summit over the next 4-5 weeks!
So much to say, but for one of those rare moments in life (for those who know me), I’m pretty much speechless.”
THIS POST WILL BE UPDATED REGULARLY THROUGHOUT THE DAY WITH DAILY UPDATES COMING ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE EVEREST 2025 SEASON
