An Everest update from Jessica Han – 11th May.
“I’m still at EBC waiting for a weather window. A few days ago, I almost pushed off for the summit aiming for a weather gap between the 12th/13th but I ultimately decided against what felt like an aggressive plan that left no room for error. I’m happy with my decision. So I wait.
“I’m spending the days going to nearby peaks and making forays into the icefall just for funsies.
“Here’s me and Dome today in the “popcorn” section of the icefall. When I’m not climbing, I fantasize about warmth, hot showers and food.
“This mental game is now all about patience.”
