An Everest update from Garrett Madison, Madison Mountaineering – 8th May.
“We’re back down in our Madison Mountaineering Everest base camp after climbing up to camps 1, 2, & 3 on the Lhotse face!
“We found a little fresh snow up on the mountain which was nice. Now time for a rest before we head back up for our final rotation.
“The fixed lines are now in to the Everest summit and our first climbers will be making their summit attempts with British guides Kenton Cool and Jon Gupta in the coming days, fingers crossed the weather and route conditions continue to hold for them.”
