“After arriving at base camp, we had a couple of stressful days because the weather has been changing and is very unpredictable. Together with the team we have analyzed in detail meteorological forecasts, current expeditions and positions on the mountain and considered that a cyclone is coming at the end of the month to end the season at Everest. We have finally put our cards on the table and we have a plan and a small window.
Hopefully it will not change and the wind will not increase too much, we’ll see. This season had an extremely complex weather and those expected perfect days at the end of the month did not happen.
With a lot of respect, resilience, humbleness and with a wonderful team, finally it is time!
I am heading out tomorrow, Friday May 23rd at 6pm local time from base camp – summit – base camp in the less time possible, with no supplemental oxygen.
A dream come true, time to enjoy the mountain, regardless of the result!
With your permission, Everest.”

“Back at Base Camp — Safe, Sound, and Celebrating!
The descent wasn’t easy, but we’ve all made it back to Everest Base Camp — every member and every Sherpa, together again. 🙌
To mark the moment, we threw a proper celebration: fresh salad, flowing vino 🍷, and the most incredible cake baked by our amazing cook (seriously, it was beautiful and delicious)”

“Everest team ready for launch.
In just a few hours time, they’ll be on the move! The team is primed and ready after a full day of rest on the South Col, sorting their kit one last time, and making final preparations — the team is locked in and ready to climb to the highest place on Earth!
The acclimatization is done, hard work logged, and now we’re ready to go.
More updates to come from Mount Everest!”
