Climbing The Seven Summits

MORE EVEREST SUMMITS!!! Julie and guide Tendi are on the summit! Amazing work up there team. They played the weather and timing right and snuck up for our last summits of the season. They report a bit of wind but overall clear and good weather. Wooohoooooo!!

7 Summits Club

On May 19th, the friendly team “We are tourists” of 8000 Club climbed to the highest point of the planet — the summit of Mount Everest!!!!
This ascent was not easy for all of us. It’s a very difficult and harsh mountain. On the day of the ascent, the wind reached 40-45 km/h, but none of the participants turned around, everyone reached their dream! We had to struggle with the weather conditions and with ourselves.
We were very tired, we gave it our all. After climbing the mountain, the last participants returned to the second camp at 6400 only by 10 pm.
We will write more detailed news later. Now we are already at the base camp, celebrating the ascent. Our Sherpas have prepared a delicious cake, we communicate, share our impressions, received certificates and medals for our ascent!

Suhajda Szilard

Szilárd successfully reached the camp number four, the little Zajó tent is already in the South saddle!

Seven Summit Treks

Today, we celebrate the incredible achievement of Rafa Jaime, a Mexican climber, on his successful ascent of Mt. Everest! Joined by SST’s Gesman Tamang and a team of dedicated support members, Rafa conquered one of the world’s highest peaks.
Rafa and his climbing partner, Omar Alvarez , have shared numerous extraordinary mountaineering experiences, defying limits and inspiring us all. Despite Rafa’s blindness, he has demonstrated adorable determination in the mountaineering.

Rafa once said, “When there is desire, determination, and an unwavering spirit, the impossible simply does not exist.” These words encapsulate the indomitable will and strength of character that Rafa exemplifies.

Today, Rafa Jaime has made history as the first Mexican blind climber to conquer Mt. Everest. His remarkable achievement reminds us that nothing is impossible when we set our minds to it.

Mariepier Desharnais

Back to feeling like myself. I was so unwell yesterday that I spent the entire day in my tent at Base Camp with the worst headache not even able to say something that made sense and feeling confused. But I AM BACK

we will begin our summit attempt soon:

“I can’t eat and drink! I ate a few cookies and drank some ice water. We are starting around 6pm and I honestly don’t know how long it will take us to summit with no oxygen —- 16-20 hours maybe”

In the next 24 hours is the realisation of my current goal to be the first Australian women to summit Everest without the use of oxygen:

and to demonstrate that MenoPause doesn’t have to be part of the end but rather it can be

a new beginning.

Death Zone Freeride

On May 21, 2023, an unprecedented event for Russian mountaineering took place: “Snow Leopard”, high-altitude climber Vitaly Lazo @vitaly_lazo became the first Russian to use skis to descend from the highest point of the planet. He started from a height of 8845 meters, which is only three meters below the top.

The ascent, organized by the “7 Summits Club” @7summitsclub , was made by Vitaliy together with the “Snow Leopard” Anton Pugovkin, a comrade in the Death Zone Freeride project. Everest became the team’s fifth 8-thousander.

The team climbed the summit with a special mission, which you can learn about by watching the documentary “Oxygen 2. Everest”, which has been filmed for over the past three months in partnership with “Gazprom-Media Holding” and its companies: “Central Partnership” @centralpartnership and “Red Media”.

On the descent, Vitaly Lazo asked for medical assistance, he was evacuated to a hospital in Kathmandu. Anton Pugovkin is feeling well.
