Imagine Nepal Concludes a Remarkable Manaslu Season with Final Team Summit
The autumn season on Mt. Manaslu (8,163m) has drawn to a triumphant close for Imagine Nepal, with the final group of climbers from the 2025 expedition standing on the summit at 6:00 AM on 27 September.
The successful team of six included:
-
Zhang Yang (China)
-
Dawa Gyalje Sherpa (Nepal)
-
Phei Sunn Sim (Singapore)
-
Pasang Namgel Sherpa (Nepal)
-
Lakpa Tendi Sherpa (Nepal)
-
Riten Jangbu Sherpa (Nepal)
The summit push added another chapter to what has been an exceptional season for Imagine Nepal. In total, 41 climbers from the team reached the top of Manaslu across summit windows on 21, 23, and 27 September, showcasing both consistency and strong expedition leadership.
Among the highlights of this final ascent were two outstanding individual achievements. Zhang Yang completed an extraordinary speed climb, traveling from Kathmandu to the summit of Manaslu and back again in just six days — a rare feat on an 8000m peak. Meanwhile, Lakpa Tendi Sherpa reached the summit without the use of supplementary oxygen, underscoring remarkable strength and acclimatization at high altitude.
For Imagine Nepal, the season represents not just numbers, but a testament to teamwork, preparation, and the resilience of climbers and Sherpa guides alike. The company extended its heartfelt congratulations to every member who contributed to this successful expedition, closing Manaslu 2025 on a high note.
