Summit Success on Dhaulagiri | 28 September 2025

The autumn Himalayan season continues to deliver remarkable achievements, with Seven Summit Treks proudly announcing the successful ascent of Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m) this morning, 28 September.

A strong and diverse team stood on the summit of the world’s seventh-highest mountain, marking another milestone in this year’s expeditions. The climbers included:

  • Jorge Egocheaga Rodriguez (Spain)

  • Ping Lu (China)

  • Catherine Marcelle Rosa Bury (France) – climbing as part of the Peak 15 project

  • Pem Nurbu Sherpa (Nepal)

  • Taraman Tamang (Nepal)

  • Pemba Tasi Sherpa (Nepal) – also representing Peak 15

This achievement comes just two days after the dedicated rope-fixing team successfully opened the route to the summit on 26 September, paving the way for subsequent climbers to follow.

Dhaulagiri, known for its steep faces and unpredictable conditions, remains one of the more formidable challenges in the 8000m arena. Today’s success highlights both the determination of the climbers and the skilled support of the Sherpa guides who made it possible.

Seven Summit Treks congratulated the entire group for their perseverance and teamwork on this demanding peak, adding another proud chapter to the 2025 Himalayan season.
