Ropes fixed on Makalu

The Seven Summits Team have laid the path to the summit of Makalu fo rthe 2025 climbing season.

They announced the news with this Social Media post;

“We have achieved summit success on the fifth 8,000-meter peak this spring! This morning at approx 10:20 AM Nepal time, our rope fixing team led by Lakpa Sherpa (also known as @makalulakpa ) has successfully summited Makalu. Along with fixing team, Kipa Sherpa also successfully summited Makalu.

Now that the rope is fixed to the summit, the summit bid starts. Some of our climbers have already completed their acclimatization rotations and are prepared for their summit bids, while others are just beginning their journey to base camp.
