Climbing The Seven Summits Team

“Oxygen training day! How many times does an astronaut put on their space suit before going into space? A lot! The same is true of climbing Everest; gear is critical and making sure you know your gear and systems inside and out is paramount for safety. Our Western Guided team spent the morning running through in depth training on the oxygen system and how to trouble shoot them in extreme cold temps on summit day. They will do more oxygen system training before the summit bid because you can never be too prepared. Ok it wasn’t all work, we finished the day with cappuccinos and charcuterie, it is a rest day after all. A great way to utilize a snowy rest day here at EBC.”

Jon Kedrowski

“We made it up through the icefall in good time. Conditions were rather nice with the fresh snow that had fallen. Resting at Camp 1 until moving on to C2.”
